Utah Film Fun: Colorful family Photoshoot

Hey there! If you’ve been following me for a minute, you know I’m all about vibrant, colorful photography, and boy, did this session deliver! We mixed traditional shots with some creative twists—think film soup, double exposures, and light leaks—to capture the essence of this incredible location.

I do a lot of work behind the scenes before the shoot. For this shoot (and all my family sessions), we collaborated on outfits that perfectly complemented the stunning backdrop. I love working closely with families to ensure their unique style shines through in every shot, so this includes picking out the perfect location, time of day, and everything! For this location, I was extra excited! I had never been to the salt flats before this shoot, and let me tell you, I was in awe of the beauty when we arrived. It was absolutely incredible! If you’ve been on the fence about going there for photos, DO IT! You won’t regret it. (And maybe hire me to have some fun with color and cool shots!)

Working with teenagers is always a blast for me. They’re open to getting creative and having fun, and capturing moments with them is just as important as with younger kids. It’s a time when they need love and support the most, and these sessions allow families to cherish the bond they share during this amazing time in their lives.

During our sessions, I prioritize creating a stress-free and fun environment. Why? Because when you’re relaxed and enjoying yourselves, that’s when the magic happens. Genuine smiles, laughter, and connections that speak to the heart—they all come naturally when you’re having a blast. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling excited and wanting to do it all over again, not dreading future photo shoots!
