Soho House Chicago
When my client flew in from Canada for our shoot, I wanted to make her experience as seamless and stress-free as possible. From sourcing the perfect hotel to selecting her dress, shoes, and garments, every detail was meticulously curated to match her style and vision. After all, this is supposed to be fun, not stressful!
I chose the stunning Soho House Chicago as our backdrop. Its gorgeous warm jewel tones, rich wood doors, cozy bed, elegant couch, and expansive windows made it the ideal setting for our session. The richness and elegance of SoHo House added a layer of sophistication that I couldn’t find anywhere else in the city.
For this shoot, I opted for Portra 400 film. As a dedicated film photographer, I love the latitude and color profile it offers, which perfectly aligned with the aesthetic we envisioned. The results were breathtaking, capturing the elegance and beauty of the moment in a way that only film can.
Here are just a few images from the beginning of our session. We created a stunning album to accompany the shoot, and I am delighted to share that privately with anyone interested in booking their own session.
Though I typically incorporate these sessions into weddings, I started wondering—why limit this experience to weddings alone? Why should women feel they need a specific reason to celebrate themselves? Why not just for the sheer joy of it? So many whys!
As a Chicago photographer and film photographer, I believe in capturing the beauty and essence of every moment. Whether you’re looking for a Chicago wedding photographer or a unique session like this one, I’m here to make your vision come to life.
