Chicago Film Photographer: Heartwarming Fall Family Photos

Hey there! I had the most heartwarming fall family session recently with a lovely family of four, including their two adorable daughters. We met up at the Highlands Golf Course, just outside of Chicago, which has this amazing coastal vibe with tall grass on rolling hills—perfect for some dreamy photos!

The session was filled with so much love and laughter. The girls were all about picking flowers and sharing sweet sister hugs. Their windswept hair added this beautiful, natural touch to the photos. It was such a joy to see their genuine interactions and capture those candid moments. As a film photographer, capturing these genuine moments on film was pure magic.

For this session, I used both 35mm and medium format film, which really brought out the richness in the fall colors and the softness of the golden light. The green hues of the grass and the warm glow from the fall sun gave the photos a timeless, nostalgic feel.
