Colorful Film Photography: Chicago Newborn and Family Session

Hey there! I recently had the best time photographing a newborn lifestyle session right here in Chicago. The sweetest baby boy and the cutest yellow lab ever!

The parents? They’re awesome. We hit it off right away over a quote from Arrested Development about being a “never-nude” (if you know, you know!). That moment sealed our friendship!

Their apartment is a dream—overlooking Michigan Ave with a perfect view of Cloud Gate (the Bean!) and a rooftop oasis made for relaxing, hanging by the pool, and snapping incredible photos.

As a Chicago photographer who’s all about capturing colorful film photography, this session was a dream come true. I love capturing those happy, candid moments that tell a family’s story.

I have to say, I absolutely adore this family and the photos we captured together. It’s funny how I seem to become friends with most of my clients. Maybe it’s because I attract laid-back, awesome people like them, or maybe it’s just the magic of connecting through my work. Either way, it’s one of the best parts of what I do!
